So they turned to Sky Privateering, working under contract for Ishgard. While they try to be serious, they usually are more fun loving. They are a mix of experienced and fresh on the ship sailors. A perfect place for character development for a mix bag of adventurers. (Especially if you like loot).OOC Background: Right now we're a small but active group that would love to see more people join our goofy, laid back, dysfunctional family. Our rp themes tend to bounce between lighthearted, very dark and very often morally gray areas. ~~In a style that fits closer to D&D. We do have a combat system of our own that we use for our personal sessions to make Combat fun and fair for everyone involved in the main story.~~ We are mostly a lore friendly FC, but sometimes we'll bend the lore or fill in the gaps if we need to in order to make the RP environment a bit more fun and interesting.We are new player friendly, though our story takes place in Heavensword expansion areas. We'll of course love to help new players reach the amazing expansion as well as learn the game! Just keep in mind some rps will be taking place in those areas and you won't be able to join us there until you reach that part of the game's story.Outside of rp, we are a group of people that still love PVE in FFXIV, along with other games. So you'll see us doing Rous, Dungeons, Raids and Grinds. We're also very welcoming and laid back for people who like to play multiple different games, mmos or join other events. Also an alt friendly FC! (For people who are obsessed with making multiple characters like myself lol)

What kind of Privateers are you?
So we get this one a lot. The best way to explain our crew is to simply say they are a bunch of misfits. Many of the crew members are still new to sailing and learning the ropes. Which brings in the fun of character development. While others are very experienced sailors who have been doing it for years. They try to be serious but they can’t help having their silly moments.What sort of Ship do they sail?
They sail an Airship. In game, we rp at the Thunder Cat Hideout (our fc house in Ishgard) where we have a spot we visualize the ship being docked. While there isn't an actual airship docked there, we use our imaginations to say there is <3.Your ship doesn't look lore friendly
Now, I know the images and concept art I use are not typical for Final Fantasy 14 airships. A lot of my inspiration for this fc came from Treasure Planet so I use a lot of concept art from it to incorporate it. However, I would also like to remind everyone that I have seen many FF airships in all sort of shapes and sizes. Including some ships that look very similar to this ship. It is obviously not an exact replica to the ship in the images I use, but similar enough to give you all the visualization I'm looking for in our ship.What activities does your fc provide?
We are mostly an RP FC. We also encourage everyone to rp together outside of story sessions! RP is definitely not restricted to those sessions. However, we do also provide other activities such as daily rous, dungeoning, raids and so on. Once we start to get more members, I would love to start doing Map Hunts with the FC!Why does my character need an interview?
The Captain and her Officers have had a few bad apples in their time trying to put this crew together. They simply wish to get to know your character before they hire you and bring you in. Make sure your character fits in. (Don't worry. It's mostly just a meet and greet to introduce your character. Very rarely do we have to turn characters away.)Is the FC active? I see members on other games
Yes! The FC is active and most of our members try to make an effort to get on almost every day. We are also a very laid back fc and don't mind people being involved in other games and communities. On top of that, we have a moto of "Life comes first". We do not require you to be on 24/7, nor do we expect you to put our fc above all else. We only ask that you are mature, respectful towards others and make an effort to come to our events. If you can't, please let an admin know. (We get worried about our dysfunctional family members)Does RP happen outside of the main story hosted sessions?
Yes! Casuals, as we like to call them, happen a lot. Though they're not always announced. If you see members on and you're in the mood to rp, feel free to ask if anyone wishes to rp. Nine times out of ten the answer will probably be yes if they're not in the middle of something. Please don't bug people about it, but it never hurts to ask.

Rayla Elakna
Rayla is the sassy Captain of our misfit crew. Not many have figured out what her life was like before she decided to become a pirate, then an adventurer, and then a privateer. The Captain loves to have fun, rum, and adventures. A very fake it til you make it kind of gal who just wants to keep her crew's spirits up. Rayla is mostly a mage and has been since she was little. Sometimes she'll pick up a gun if she feels it is needed.

Nyssira Elakna
Sister to Rayla, Nysirra is a bubbly, moon-kissed mystic with a heart full of stardust and secrets. A Keeper of the Moon with an affinity for tarot, dreams, and the arcane, she left home to find her sister as well explore the world beyond her home. Now she travels Eorzea with boundless curiosity and a radiant smile. Though soft-spoken and cutesy in manner, Nyssira is deeply intuitive. She reads omens and offers guidance with a playful charm.

The Second Mate

X'zentsa Gahvino
Most commonly known as Zen by her friends and some of the crew whom she's given permission to. Zen was the second person to join Rhaya's crew and quickly earned the Captain's respect enough to be given the chance of being her Second Mate. Zen is friendly and protective of those she is close with. While also taking her responsibilities onboard very seriously.

Head Healer

Katsuki Kawa
A Far Eastern Witch from Hingashi, Katsuki did most of her traveling alone up until Rhaya shifted her pirate crew to privateers. She had many friends in the crew and wished to join now that it was not what it used to be. Katsuki offered her services as a healer and quickly became the Head Healer when no one else stepped up to the position. She is friendly, but quiet. The Au Ra is more likely to listen than speak. Katsuki also has a twin sister named Amaya who helps her around the med bay.
